Operations

Stock that matches
what you sold and bought.

Inventory is useless if sales, purchase, and the ledger disagree. TOSS keeps item masters, warehouses, pickings, lots, and valuation in the same workspace — with optional WMS layout when you outgrow a single stock location.

Item master that ops can trust

Types, units, tracking

Products, categories, units, and tracking (lot/serial/expiry) feed sales, purchase, POS, and manufacturing from one catalog.

Warehouses and transfers

Pickings and valuation

Receipts, deliveries, internal transfers, adjustments, and scrap — with valuation layers that accounting reports can stand on.

WMS when the floor needs it

Zones, aisles, bins

Optional warehouse hierarchy, putaway, and transfer flows for teams that pick to bin — without forcing that complexity on day one.

Tied to manufacturing and POS

One stock truth

Manufacturing consumes and produces against the same stock. POS tickets issue the same items. No second inventory island.

Ops stack

From catalog to bin to invoice

Start with inventory; add WMS, manufacturing, or POS when the business needs them — same database throughout.

How stock stays tied to the books

Items sit in warehouses and locations. A receipt increases on-hand quantity. A delivery decreases it. When the move changes value, the posting debits or credits the stock valuation accounts configured on the product category. An internal transfer moves quantity between locations and does not create a journal entry, because the company still owns the same goods.

Lots, serial numbers, and expiry dates live on the item and the move. Packages group goods for a transfer. Landed cost can spread a vendor bill across the receipts it belongs to. Moving-average cost restates when a receipt comes in at a different price; an issue leaves at the current average.

A warehouse can add zones, aisles, bays, shelves, and bins, with putaway rules, when you need a layout rather than a single stock location. Sales orders that are short can raise a draft manufacturing order or a draft purchase request when the product route says to make or buy. The stock valuation report, stock ledger, and stock trial balance read the same layers the ledger posted.

Inventory uses the same published plans as the rest of TOSS ERP. Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial, and Starter and Basic have no implementation cost. Questions? Chat with us on WhatsApp.

Common questions

Does every stock move hit the general ledger?

A receipt or issue that changes value posts a journal entry. An internal transfer moves quantity only and does not post value.

Can I track lots and expiry?

Yes. The item category sets the tracking method and, when you use it, the expiry, best-before, removal, and alert day counts. Moves record the lot or serial.

What is the warehouse layout for?

Zones, aisles, bays, shelves, and bins, plus putaway rules, when a warehouse needs locations inside a site. Products and stock moves work without that layout.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every plan includes a 30-day free trial. Starter and Basic have no implementation cost.
